SEMINAR OVERVIEW: What distinguishes humans from the rest of the creation?  Although evolutionism regards man above animals in intelligence, skill, creativity, and self-awareness, it does so according to degree, regarding us as leaders in a survival competition.  We are not different in degree, but different — period.  Mankind is distinct.   Sadly, many scientists have used physical comparisons of man and animals to disregard God’s Word regarding greater distinctions — ones not of degree but of separateness altogether.  This seminar will encourage you about God’s special purpose in your life!

ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Mr. Berndt studied at Gonzaga University and graduated from CU-Boulder's rigorous school of engineering in 1990. He has taught Bible courses for fourteen years, sciences for over eight years, and high school math and writing. He presently teaches at Lighthouse Christian School. Mr. Berndt enrolled in the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) in 2002 to work toward his Science Education masters degree. He has been published in major magazines relating to youth ministry and the outdoors, but in recent years has focused on science writing, and has recently published in Creation (Vol. 25 No. 1) and in Creation Research Society Quarterly (Vol. 40 No. 2).

Personal: Mr. Berndt grew up in Hong Kong, but now considers himself a full-fledged Idahoan. He has enjoyed over fourteen years of marriage to his wife Carrie; they delight in their adopted boys Eli (8) and Isaiah (6), and are in the process of adopting Brittany (8) and Brandon (6).
