About the presentation:
Like giant scars, carved rugged and deep by vast currents of water, scores of canyons split the face of every continent on earth. Jagged and majestic, multitudes of snow-covered mountains lie scattered across the face of our azure planet. The earth beneath our feet rumbles and shakes as powerful earthquakes and volcanic explosions reform the surface of the land. What processes sculpted this glorious mosaic of physical beauty? Should we believe the speculative stories of modern man? Is this vast and spectacular landscape really the end result of billions of years of time and the chance workings of nature and random physical forces? Is the vast number of fossil graveyards on every continent truly the work of "mother nature" and evolution? Do they really prove we are nothing more than "cosmic accidents?"

Come discover the answers to these questions as we take an in-depth look at what the Bible and the physical evidence on this planet tell us about our earth and its past history. Many voices today insist that the flood of Noah's day was nothing more than a small crisis and a local inconvenience for ancient man, which had little to do with creating our physical world now surrounding us. Is this really what the Bible teaches? We will carefully examine the Biblical story about the flood of Noah's day and what it is meant to teach us about our origins and our destiny as we live in this troubled twenty first century. We will also explore the physical evidence in nature like the Grand Canyon and the fossil graveyards to discover if they really tell the imaginative stories that evolutionary zealots claim.

About the Speaker:
Thomas Hamilton graduated from the University of Idaho and Western Conservative Baptist Seminary in Portland, Oregon. He was a pastor and Bible-school teacher for 22 years in Moscow, Idaho, where he and his wife Jean raised four children. They now reside in Meridian, Idaho where he is the family pastor and the director of a Bible training program at Treasure Valley Bible Church. Thomas has a passionate interest in the issues of creation/evolution and has written a book on this subject entitled, He Spoke and it was Done.
