ABOUT THE PRESENTATION
The debate between Evolution and Creation is an increasingly controversial issue in our nation today. As Christians, we need to know that God has provided the answers to this controversy in the first 11 chapters of Genesis. The Creation Science 101 seminar has been developed for the purpose of helping Christians understand the “basics” about Creation and how the fall  left mankind in a dilemma that continues today. We will also look into the fossil record and get the Biblical view of what happened during and after Noah’s flood and discuss the evidence we find today. We will learn about the geologic column and what God’s Word has to say about it. In addition, we will explore frequently asked questions such as:
·Were the dinosaurs on the ark, or were they all killed by the flood?
·Could Noah build the ark big enough for all the animals including the dinosaurs?
If these questions are left unanswered, they often cause even Christians to stumble in their search for the truth.
Since all legends usually contain a bit of truth, we will consider how legends may pertain to the creation story?  The Bible says, God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  Knowing this to be true, we will discuss evidence from another culture that God’s message of salvation has been woven into the histories of all tribes and tongues since the beginning of time.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Jeff Geer was raised on a farm in central Washington and currently lives in Boise, Idaho with his wife Debby and their three children. Jeff is a United States Air Force veteran. During his six-year tour of duty at Fairchild AFB he was assigned to work on the Short Range Attack Missile System. In 1979, while stationed at Fairchild, Jeff received Christ as his Savior. In 1983, after receiving an honorable discharge from the Air Force, Jeff began working as a  Sharp ™ photocopier service technician in Boise. Around 1989, Dr. Duane Gish of the Institute For Creation Research was a featured speaker at Broadway Avenue Baptist Church where Jeff and his family are members. Dr. Gish’s short Creation Science seminar triggered in Jeff the desire to fervently study God’s Word on the subject of Creation versus Evolution and issues closely related to it.  Jeff’s favorite pastime is searching the deserts of Idaho for evidence of the flood. He speaks at local churches, Sunday School classes and home school groups about the truths of the first 11 Chapters of Genesis. Jeff and Debby served on the committee that brought Ken Ham and the AIG Family Seminar to Boise in 1998. Jeff is active in the leadership group of Foundations in Genesis of Idaho-Oregon.
