ABOUT THE PRESENTATION

When discussing "man and his origins", you need to clearly understand that evolutionists always begin with the assumption that man has evolved from apes. In fact, no paleoanthropologist would dare to seriously raise the question “did man evolve from apes?” The only question permissible to them is “from WHICH apes did man evolve?”

Since evolutionists generally do not believe that man evolved from any ape currently living, they must search for extinct apes in the fossil record to provide them with their desired evidence. Specifically, they look for any anatomical feature that appears to be “intermediate” between that of apes and man. Fossil apes having such features are declared to be ancestral to man (or at least collateral relatives) and are called “hominids”. 

This presentation will cover a number of key hominid fossils (from the australopithecines to Neanderthal man) and show you the evidence that exists for them.  All of these were at one time considered to be in the direct lineage of man; likewise, they were declared the best evidence for evolution. However, they have all been taken out of the direct lineage of man - all of them!  Today, every diagram of the evolutionary tree that you see has question marks at all the major junctions! Why? Because there are no transitional fossils between apes and humans. They all appear fully developed, fully functional, fully ape or fully human. There is NO evidence ANYWHERE for the evolution of man!

THE SPEAKER

Doug Bennett was raised on a farm in Southern Idaho and currently lives in Boise, Idaho with his wife and 5 children.  He attended Boise State University where he received undergraduate degrees in Geology and Earth Science Education.  He also received a Masters Degree in Engineering Geology in 1996.  Doug has worked in precious metals exploration for about 15 years. For the last 10 years, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has employed him as an engineering geologist in the Pacific Northwest Region. He is a member of the National Association of Engineering Geologists and has spoken internationally in the engineering geology field.

Doug teaches Creation/Evolution classes at his home church (Calvary Chapel) in Boise. He also speaks at area schools and churches on the topics of origins, rocks, fossils and dinosaurs.  Doug is a member of Foundations in Genesis of Idaho (FIGI). FIGI is a Christian fellowship of scientists and lay people who endeavor to understand and interpret scientific discovery related to "origins" through the worldview of Biblical Truth.
