ABOUT KATHY HARRIS
First and foremost, Kathy Harris is a follower and servant of the Lord Jesus
Christ. Several years ago, Kathy and her children attended an "Answers in
Genesis" Family Conference in Boise, Idaho featuring Ken Ham. Their lives
changed "scientifically"! Kathy has taught children's classes for many years in
churches, a private school, as well as directed Vacation Bible School programs
and served as church librarian. However, Creation Science was a subject she had
never encountered before and it opened up a whole new perspective of God and
knowing Him through His creation...biblically and scientifically. In her
capacity as librarian, Kathy purchased a variety of adult/children books and
video's for the church library. Along with these and books borrowed from
friends, Kathy gleaned the information necessary to teach two children's classes
on dinosaurs using a Biblical worldview. The kids thoroughly enjoyed it and the
parents...well; the parents were amazed and overjoyed to find out about the sufficiency of God's word. They learned that dinosaurs are not an
evolutionary beast and they could encourage their children to play with dinosaur
toys without a Biblical compromise!
Recently, Kathy has been teaching a newly formulated class for children entitled "Digging Deep: Land, Gas, Rock & Sea - Beginnings in Geology". This class offers children a fresh, fun and educational look at the Earth layers before and after the flood from a Biblical worldview. Kathy teaches art, enjoys music and together with her children, incorporates these into the curriculum.
The Harris family lives in Payette, Idaho and attends church at Immanuel Grace Fellowship.
The Program Will Cover:
What are children learning/accepting at school, home, church, peer groups, etc
Making the distinction between correct and incorrect information.
Why is correct information so important?
Replacing incorrect learning with correct information.
Are children being challenged by what they learn?
Are children being desensitized to important values in schools?
Where to find excellent instructional resources and curriculum.
