DON'T MISS THIS!!!    THURSDAY, APRIL 19th

Physicist to Lecture on Universe and Atom

* Dr. Thomas Barnes, Professor Emeritus of Physics, University of Texas, El Paso says
This of David Bergman:  "You have made, in my opinion, the greatest theoretical
Breakthrough in particle physics in the 20th century.  I do not see how anyone could
Challenge this great work!"

Mr. Dave Bergman, retired physicist and electrical engineer, and president
and founder of "Common Sense Science," will provide two lectures on
Thursday , April 19 at Church of God of Prophecy. (We thank Pastor
Blanscet for providing the use of his facility)

Of interest to general audiences is the evening address "A Creationist
Cosmology," at 7:00 p.m., followed by a questions session at 8:30 p.m. Mr.
Bergman will present scientifically viable alternatives to the Big Bang
theory, and provide a description of the universe that answers popular
fundamental questions.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Bergman will speak on the topic "A Common Sense
Approach to the Atom," addressed to those with an interest in physics and
chemistry. This lecture will begin at 12:00 noon and conclude with a
questions session beginning at 1:15 pm

Snacks will be available following the meeting for those who missed lunch.

DAVE BERGMAN
Founder and President
"Common Sense Science"

Thursday, April 19th
Church of God of Prophecy
8366 Northview, Boise, Idaho
(One block west of Milwaukee on the
northeast corner of Christine & Northview)

ABOUT THE SPEAKER. . .
Dave Bergman earned degrees in Physics (Univ. of California, Berkeley) and
Electrical Engineering (Univ. of California, Santa Barbara). He designed
and produced electronic circuits when transistors first became available
and later worked on radar guided missiles for the US Navy and US Air Force.
Before his retirement from Federal Service, he was the Government's top
engineer on a classified weapon described as "the premier weapon in the
United States Air Force." His first science paper, published in 1990,
gives the first and only successful physical model of the electron that
agrees with experimental data. He is the founder and President of Common
Sense Science, a non-profit organization to foster research and education
on a theory of matter based on Judeo-Christian worldview principles. An
increasing number of scientists are now citing his work.

NOON SESSION
12:00pm - 1:00 pm (lecture)
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm (questions)
2:00 pm - ? (Fellowship/snacks)
LECTURE #1
"A Common Sense Approach to the Atom" -
Understanding the Universe

OVERVIEW:
(This program will appeal to those with an interest in physics, chemistry
and learning about a valid alternative to scientific materialism)
This seminar presents a theory of matter that is consistent with a
creationist worldview. The "Common Sense" model of the atom is based on the
scientific method as well as worldview principles that most people
understand and accept.

This presentation will cover:
* A brief review of ancient Greek science
* Progress in science during the Classical period in history
* A comparison of Quantum Theory and the new Electric Theory of Matter in
terms of the scientific method and basic worldview principles on the nature
of things in the universe.

Questions that will be answered include:
* How does our view of the universe affect our thinking?
* How do the two fundamental worldviews conflict?
* Does our worldview affect the success of science?
* Does our worldview affect our models of:
. fundamental particles? . atoms? . molecules?
* Is modern science on a correct course?

NOTE: Light refreshments will be provided before and at the end of the
noon session for those who may miss lunch. We understand there will be some
who must leave immediately after the lecture. We appreciate your
attendance.

EVENING SESSION:
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm (lecture)
8:30 pm - 9:00 pm (questions)
9:00 pm - ? (Fellowship/snacks)

LECTURE #2
"A Creationist Cosmology"

OVERVIEW:
This program will appeal to a general audience
The Big Bang cosmology is promoted so heavily that most people are unaware
of an alternative or the scientific advantages of a Creationist cosmology.
Although the Bible declares the origin of the universe and even describes
its basic features, many creationists are unaware of the nature of the
heavens and the place of earth in the universe. "A Creationist Cosmology"
presents a description of the universe that answers fundamental questions
based on the revelations of the Biblical prophets and the scientific
discoveries of Bergman and Lucas on the nature of matter. Answers are
offered to fundamental questions which include:

* Is the earth at the center of the universe?
* How old and how big is the universe?
* What is the meaning of red-shifted starlight?
* Did the universe create itself?
* Are there inhabited planets?
Do chance events occur in the universe?
