Rick and Sidney's Biography

Rick Thompson has been doing ventriloquism since the age of seven.  He read anything about ventriloquism he could get his hands on and taught himself the art.

A master ventriloquist, Rick has performed with Sidney for hundreds of thousands from the U.S. Virgin Islands to Fiji and from Vancouver, Canada to the Mexican border.

A lifetime interest of Rick’s has been the scientific evidence for special creation.  After hearing a lecture by Dr. Donald Chittick, he decided that he wanted to be able to use his ventriloquism to communicate the facts supporting creation.

As an Adjunct Professor for the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) Rick & Sidney have toured presenting their program.  Dr. John Morris, President of the Institute for Creation Research, said: “Much study has gone into the preparation of Rick & Sidney’s presentations, particularly the one on creation.  Furthermore, they sought out ICR input to check accuracy.  Do not consider their work to be mere entertainment, but teaching in an entertaining context.  Let me strongly urge you to let the Lord enrich your people with their unique message.”

Foundations In Genesis of Idaho/Oregon, also known as ‘FIGI’ (pronounced fig-ee), is a local science organization that hosts Adult & Children's science seminars & geological field adventures. By bringing in scientists who are experts in their fields, FIGI Seminars & Field Adventures offer fascinating information and cutting edge evidence which encourages critical thinking and an understanding of factual science which are key in what worldview (biblical or evolutionary) a person chooses.
