The book of Genesis is a history book,
not a science book. However, the book makes some grand claims about the past
that should become evident as we explore the world through science. As a sound
source for the history of man, we should be able to detect the major events of
Genesis through modern genetics. There are three main events that, if they
occurred at all, must have left an indelible mark on our genetic makeup:
Creation, the Flood, and the Tower of Babel. Each one of these can be clearly
seen if one knows where to look!

In his freshman year of college, Dr.
Carter was exposed to creationism for the first time and soon after adopted it
as his modus operandi. He says he felt a tremendous joy when he realized his
science and his religion were no longer at odds. This joy (and, he says,
Creation magazine and the Journal of Creation) enabled him to get through the
in-depth evolutionary training of his undergraduate and graduate programs with
his faith intact. He obtained a BS in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute
of Technology in 1992. He then spent four years teaching high school biology,
chemistry, physics and electronics before going to the University of Miami to
obtain his PhD in Marine Biology. He is currently Head Speaker/Scientist for CMI-USA
in Atlanta, Georgia, where he lives with his wife, Leanne, and children and is
currently researching human genetics and other issues related to biblical
creation. |

CHILDREN’S CREATION SEMINARS
A Children’s Creation Seminar for children ages
5 - 12 usually accompanies each adult seminar, but for this meeting, the
children will remain with the adults and there will be no children's seminar.
ENJOY OUR FELLOWSHIP TIME Please bring finger foods for our fellowship time following the seminar. This
fellowship time is a great opportunity to ask questions, meet new people, and to
visit with the speaker and with friends.
CREATION RESOURCES will be available for purchase
at both locations. DVD's, books, T-shirts, and more will be on display.
FIGI has produced some very nice T-shirts with a creation theme. All
proceeds from the purchase of these T-shirts goes to support the activities of FIGI.
CREATION SCIENCE LIBRARY
Creation Resources for all ages include a large selection of books, videos,
audios, & DVD’s from AIG, ICR, and many others. The library is free to use and
is currently located in Ontario, Oregon. Check out time is 1 month. Check
out and returns take place at the FIGI seminars. A library inventory list

Foundations In Genesis of
Idaho/Oregon, also known as ‘FIGI’ (pronounced fig-ee), is a local Creation
Science organization that hosts Adult & Children's science seminars and
geological field adventures. Bringing in scientists who are experts in their
fields, FIGI Seminars & Field Adventures offer fascinating information and
cutting edge evidence which encourages critical thinking and an understanding of
factual science which are key in which worldview (biblical or evolutionary) a
person chooses.

about the scriptures above? Did everything evolve millions of years ago
beginning with a

charge. Our geological field adventures consist of local one day trips and
