PRESENTS

THE EARTH'S SURFACE &
RECEDING FLOOD WATERS

by Mr. Michael Oard

How did the incredible landscaping of the Earth’s surface really happen? We see what happens to a particular area when a natural disaster hits and the many changes it brings about in a short amount of time. What events sculpted the entire surface of the Earth? This a BIG question. Think about the huge, magnificent mountain ranges, the deserts, submarine canyons and so much more!  All these features are unique and abundant in the landscape of the Earth and are nearly impossible to explain by the alternative uniformitarian model of slow processes over millions of years. Mr. Oard will present evidence that the surface of the Earth was formed by the runoff of the floodwaters of the flood described in Genesis.

Based solely on Scripture and using the analogy of a flash flood, the Genesis Flood can be divided into two main stages, the Flooding Stage in which the whole earth is completely flooded within 150 days and the Retreating Stage in which the water drains off the future continents between Day 150 and Day 371. Evidence that the surface of the Earth was formed by the runoff of the Genesis flood will be presented.

In order for the water to drain, the crust of the earth must rise in some places and subside in other places. Evidence for this differential vertical tectonics will be shown. During the Retreating Stage, the receding floodwaters greatly eroded the continents. During the erosion, planation surfaces were formed and resistant rocks were transported hundreds of miles. Then as more mountains and plateaus became exposed above the floodwater, the water is forced to channelized and carve water and wind gaps, pediments, and submarine canyons. All these features are unique and abundant in the landscape of the Earth and are nearly impossible to explain by the alternative uniformitarian model of slow processes over millions of years.
