FOUNDATIONS IN GENESIS OF IDAHO
FIGI
PRESENTS
MOUNT ST. HELENS
A BIG BANG FOR CREATION
Rev. LLOYD
ANDERSON
October 30 & 31, 2008 at 7:00 PM
“Awesome for Creation” describes the eruptions of Mount St. Helens in the 1980’s. Formations taking forever at 24/7 rates took a mere geological wink of the eye—a mountain wasted, hundreds of new layers deposited, a river system carved, millions-of-years of bad science at Yellowstone exposed. How can a mountain collapse in seconds? Why would a volcano erupt sideways? What are the mechanics of rapid layering? Can we see in these local processes the effects of a world-wide cataclysm? How does this local event help us better understand the Biblical Flood? Sense the unbridled power and wonder of a major volcanic eruption as Lloyd Anderson explores these mysteries in a fast-moving, fact-filled color slide presentation.
